Why Choose a physical performance assessment?

At GAC, we pride ourselves on individualising everything we do. Our thorough, evidence-based testing battery – including the use of VALD force plates – gives us a complete picture of an athlete’s physical readiness, robustness, and performance capacity.

Whether you’re a GAC member tracking progress or a non-member wanting clarity on where to focus your training, our assessments provide the objective data to move forward with confidence.

Key areas we assess:

  • Dynamic and static mobility
  • Movement competency
  • Trunk integrity
  • Jumping and landing technique
  • Single leg power
  • Lower and upper limb asymmetries
  • Lower limb power profile
  • Reactive strength

GAC Members

Every GAC membership includes an initial Physical Performance Assessment, with reassessments every 12 weeks to monitor progress, ensure your program is working, and guide ongoing adjustments.

Not a GAC member?

You can still access our testing services. Each option is customised to your sport, needs, and goals – and comes with clear, actionable recommendations to help you and your support team identify the gaps and target your training effectively.

ACL return to sport testing $250

Ideal from approximately the 6-month mark of your rehabilitation, with a reassessment recommended around 9–10 months to guide your return to competition.

Testing includes:

  • Bilateral jumps on force plates (countermovement jump, squat jump, drop jump)
  • Unilateral jumps on force plates (single leg CMJ, single leg DJ)
  • Triple hop and stick test with video analysis
  • Lateral hop and stick test for distance
  • Change of direction mechanics analysis (180° turn and 45° cut)
  • Max strength testing — back squat or trap bar deadlift 3RM (or single leg squat to 90° box to fatigue if strength training is not yet at testing level)

Individual athlete testing $150

Want to know where your physical strengths and weaknesses lie? We’ll tailor a performance test to your sport and needs, providing an in-depth assessment of your mobility, strength, power, quickness, and foundational movement competency.
You’ll receive a detailed assessment report alongside clear recommendations from our expert coaches – giving you and your coaching team a precise direction for your training.

Club Team Testing

Give your squad the edge with objective, data-driven performance benchmarking. We can assess strength, power, rate of force development, reactive strength, mobility, and movement quality – and track these over time to measure improvement against sport-specific benchmarks.

This clarity gives your coaching and performance staff confidence in the effectiveness of your training interventions. Repeated across seasons, testing data can also assist your physio with injury risk information and provide pre-injury benchmarks to support return-to-sport decisions.

Cost varies depending on squad size and testing battery. Contact us to discuss a package that suits your team.
